Love
by Robin

You ask if I love you.

What is Love?
When you come into the room,
That flutter I feel,
Is that love?

Or when we're talking,
And you say something sweet,
And I just wanna dance,
Is *that* love?

And if it is,
What kind of love is it?
Agape or amore; infatuation?
That's not a love.

There is no greater love,
Then if you give your life,
For a friend. Agape,
Says the Bible.

When the moon hits your eye,
Then is this amore?
Is that what I'm feeling?
Or am I lost?

Could this be a crush,
An infatuation, fleeting,
Briefly here, gone soon,
A mere trick?

Can we name Love?
Pin her down, tie her up,
Demand to know who she is?
Or is this futile?

I don't know,
And so I continue to question,
Everything I feel,
Do or say.

Define love, please,
And then I will know,
And shall answer the question.
Until then, there is nothing more to say.
