Levels and Leveling The level that you currently have is the rerresentation of the experience you have gained and shows how experienced you are with the charactor.
Experience Whenever you kill a monster or a player, you earn experience points. When enough experience points are earned, you raise a level. Things you should know about experience points:
* While grouped you share the kill exp & receive a grouping bonus.
* If you kill a monster of higher level than yourself, you get bonus experience points. If killing a monster of lower level you'll gain less experience points
Practice Practice is how you improve your knowledge of skills and spells. You gain practice sessions each time you move up in levels. On this MUD system, "teachers" can be obvious or not. It is advisable to investigate some of the taverns and such and ask about teachers, or something having to do with them, to find out who can teach you what. Teachers on this system can only teach skills of their specified knowldge AND only up to their specified percentage. So you will not be able to practice a skill above the level of your teacher.
Using practice with no arguments tells you your current skill percentage on each skill/spell if no teacher is about. If a teacher is present then it states the max percentage that you can acquire from him on each skill at the present time. To practice a skill type "practice ".
