Play For The First Time |

When you first start the game, you are probably a little confused on whats going on, so here is the scoop. There are 60 levels of advancement here at WoC but that will be expanded to 100 levels of advancement by Christmas if all goes as planned. You begin in the middle of town, armed only with some meager armor and our trusty glowing longsword. The first thing you should do is "wear all". Your sword will talk to you. You can ask it for advice by just typing "say help". The object of this game is to advance as many levels as you can. To advance level, you must KILL creatures, the tougher the creatures, the more experience you gain. When you enter a new place, there will be a description of your surrounding, this describes what is usually in that place, people and objects come and go they are not always there. It is very important to read these descriptions, as they give you a better feel for where you are and may hide special information that will help you!

| How to: |
Assign Attributes |
|
|
| Your basic stats are STR (strength), INT (intelligence), WIS (wisdom), DEX (dexterity), CON constitution), and CHR (charisma). CarnageMUD's classless, skill-based character system depends heavily on your character's stats, so you will want to choose carefully. You can choose your own stats, within limits. You have a predetermined value in each stat, and you have 22 (varies) points to allocate to improve your stats above 10. From 10 to 16 including 16, each point better in the stat costs one point from that 22. To go from 16 to 17 costs 2 points from the 22, from 17 to 18 costs 3, and from 18 to 19 costs 4 (for applicable races). Thus to get from 10 to 18 costs 11 points: 10->11->12->13->14->15->16->17->18 = 1+1+1+1+1+1+2+3).
