The Windsor Meditation Group (WMG) is a non-profit organization located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada that has been meeting for Dhamma talks, meditation instruction and practice since 1998 in our small "hut" (home).
Our first teacher (Ajahn) was the Venerable Dr. Chuen Phangcham, the former Abbott of The Midwest Buddhist Meditation Center (MBMC) in Warren, Michigan. Please visit www.mbmcmichigan.org to get information about current events at the center.

Sadly, Ajahn Chuen, passed on July 10, 2008.  It was an honour to know him, and we are thankful that he wanted to serve the Windsor Meditation Group and its members in all the ways he did. "Take care of the people", that was Ajahn Chuen's wish.

In the absence of an Ajahn hosts Sheila Duke and Gerry Steinberg took the opportunity to share their insight and provided an excellent series of talks. Members also led group discussions at various meetings, ending with Gerry Steinberg guiding us through his classic guided meditation.

The end of 2009 saw the Windsor Meditation Group again under the guidance in meditation instruction and practice by our second teacher, Ajahn Dharmananda. Ajahn is a Master Meditator of the International Peace Monastery in Detroit Michigan. For more information please contact:

Meeting Time  Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Our meetings consist of a short Dhamma talk, meditation instruction and practice.  There are opportunities for discussions and questions.  Chairs and cushions are available.  All are welcome.

Priceless; there is no cost whatsoever. However, if one wishes, there is an opportunity to express generosity (or “dana” in Pali) by offering a donation to help cover the cost of Ajahn Dharmananda crossing the U.S. border.
