Quixote's Horse: Chess

Annotated Chess Games

Occasionally Quixote's Horse (a.k.a. 'The Hack') will post a flash movie of an annotated chess game. These are just screen captures of the game being played out with my favourite free PGN viewer: Chesspad. Once you start the movie, it will automatically stop at each annotation. To resume the play simply click to continue...

The currency of these links are not guaranteed. Chess players seem to move about more than most. :-) We will be reviewing these links as time permits and weeding out links that are no longer working. Should you happen to find one or more nonfunctioning links, please drop the Webmaster a line advising us. We will fix it immediately. Note also that ours is not an exhaustive list of chess links. There are literally thousands of chess related sites on the web. Needless to say, this collection is a subjective list- your actual mileage may vary.

Brief Biography

Quixote's Horse (a.k.a. Wayne A. Coppin, WACy and 'The Hack') is an Expert strength player and chess coach. My games tend to feature sharp, unusual opening lines. I admire the games of GM Robert J. Fischer, GM David Bronstein, GM Judith Polgar and IM Lawrence Day. My most notable tournament result was arguably not a tournament victory but rather an equal 13th placing in the Canadian Open in 1993. My most recent tournament victory was the 2008 Kingston Fall Swiss. The last major tournament that I played in was the 2006 Canadian Open where I finished equal 2nd in my class. My students consistently turn in medal winning performances in spite of my best efforts to confuse them. :-)
