Entertainment, Magic, Magician, Illusions, Seances and Consulting

Imagine… a group of people engaged in a wondrous experience.

THAT is ThoughtControl.

Powerful – Provocative – highly entertaining, but at the same time, a wee bit disturbing.

T. Baxter uses the thoughts and imaginations of the entire audience to present a powerful new form of entertainment. Not exactly Magic – Not really Mind Reading – Not Hypnosis. The best term to describe it is “Psychological Illusions”.

Although Baxter’s background is as a Magician and Illusionist, he has left the Magician’s props and sleight of hand behind to explore the psychological principles that are the real stuff of Magic.

In ThoughtControl, T. Baxter gets inside of your head and looks around from your point of view. He uses the information thus obtained to predict, suggest and control human behavior, and to present experiments that are pure Theatre of the Mind, simply breath-taking.

T. Baxter isn’t a psychic, although he can read your thoughts as easily as an open book. He isn’t a hypnotist, but you will see, hear and feel things that are not really there. In fact, nothing you will experience in ThoughtControl seems possible, although it is all based in reality.

“I’ve had to learn an entirely new set of very esoteric and arcane skills to do the things that I do in ThoughtControl”, Baxter says. “Psychology, reverse psychology, verbal and non-verbal manipulation, even things as diverse as NLP and Japanese Game Theory now play a part in how I manage to find out what people are thinking.”

In one example, Baxter explains how professional gamblers can sit across from an opponent, and after a short time, know all of the other person’s quirks and ticks, something gamblers call “tells”, because you can ‘tell’ what cards a person holds based upon his behaviour. Baxter proceeds to demonstrate this skill with startling accuracy, knowing the cards that are merely THOUGHT OF by audience members. Then things get truly weird when a member of the audience is able to do the same, revealing other audience members’ cards without ever really knowing how they are picking up the other peoples’ signals.

“I’ve developed a sort of ‘Chaos Theory’ of Human Behaviour”, Baxter confides. “In examining the apparent randomness of the ways in which we interact, I’ve discovered certain patterns of behaviour, certain trends in the way people will think or react in given situations. I take advantage of that knowledge to create the effects that I present in ThoughtControl”.

Whether he is guessing in which hand a volunteer from the audience holds a borrowed coin (5 times in a row!), or mentally transmitting a scene from his childhood to the mind of a young lady he’s never met before; or even creating a synchronistic link between two complete strangers, so that they both move, speak and even think the same way, T. Baxter will blow your mind, over and over again in ThoughtControl. And what’s even more amazing than that - You’ll love it!!!

infused with Baxter's own style and charm.

as Baxter magically and visibly transforms paper streamers into an
audience member's inner-most desire... .

Rings link and unlink in audience members' hands, in a tribute to one
of Magic's most beautiful and enduring classics. Objects float about
the stage, defying all the laws of science, and someone comes very
close to losing their head, all in the course of a programme infused
with gentle good humour, generosity, and a real and palpable Sense
of Wonder.

This act has toured the world for over 25 years, and has been
performed for countless thousands of people, young and old.

Everyone loves the magic and mystery of THOMAS BAXTER!!!

INTIMATE MIRACLES performed right under the noses of the
spectators! Either in a walk-around, cocktail type situation, a
hospitality suite or trade show booth, this is the perfect entertainment
for corporate functions, wedding receptions, house parties etc.

Baxter is regarded as one of the foremost sleight-of-hand artists in the
country, and has won awards and lectured to other Magicians on the
subject of creating Magic with the watches, rings and imaginations of
the spectators for whom he performs.

An expert with a normal pack of playing cards, Baxter elicits gasps of
disbelief as the pasteboards perform their mysteries in his nimble
fingers. Many of the strange events occur in the spectator's own
hands, leaving each and every member of the audience with a
personal experience to tell their friends about.
As they say, Magic on stage is one thing, but when it's happening right
under your nose, it's IMPOSSIBLE!!!
