Basic Rules



HOUSE LEAGUE TYKE RULES
(will use the TYKE rules when the Tyke and Novice are combined in
House League)

Stop the clock at every 2 minute horn to rotate line / start at whistle.

Clock stops at Penalties, Goals, Referee timeouts (T).

There will only be face-offs at the beginning of each period and after each
goal. Play will be exchanged wherever the players were at the horn. Team in
possession will retain possession or closest to ball. (Give possession to a
player who normally doesn't touch the ball)

Goalies MUST be rotated though the team equally.

Goalies do not change ends each period.

Each team is allowed 1, 30 second timeout per game (stop clock).
Refs will blow whistle to end the timeout and restart the play.

If there is a break-away within seconds of the 2 minute horn, stop the clock
momentarily to give the player a chance to shoot.

Each player has a 3 goal limit per game (coloured tape on shirt, by coach or
referee, when at limit)

If the game is within 2 Goals, the final 2 minutes of the game will be stopped
time (stop the clock at every whistle). Though time will be curfewed at the
hour.

Periods will be 12 minutes / 12 minutes / 12 minutes

Top white sheet needs to be placed in folder in the equipment room after the referees sign. The 2nd and 3rd sheets go to the coaches.

Coaches need to email their game results to the Publicity Director by Sunday
evening, at the latest, along with an offesive and defensive player of the
game for each for the weekly newsletter.

Penalties
1 minute (or the remainder of time left on their shift) - minor
2 minutes - checking from behind (the player will serve whatever is left of
their shift, as well as sitting out the next 2 minutes when their shift is on
again) - double minor

Suspensions
Gross Misconduct (fighting/swearing) = 2 games
Misconduct = 1 game

Must serve expulsions at the arena.

* If there is an ongoing problem/concern with a player/parent tell the Convenor. Executive will deal with it.

** "Zero tolerance" - bench player and/or coaches

*** Out and Out fighting automatic minimum 2 Game suspension; pending review by the Disciplinary Board for further suspension time

First person off bench during an altercation gets suspended indefinitely pending a review by the Disciplinary Board.

*THERE WILL BE A 24 HOUR COOL OFF PERIOD BEFORE ALTERCATIONS ARE DISCUSSED.


HOUSE LEAGUE NOVICE RULES
(will use the TYKE rules when the Tyke and Novice are combined in
House League)


Clock runs at every 2 minute Horn. Play will be exchanged on the fly. 1 ball carrier and a defensive player can stay on until the complete line change, then those 2 get off. There is no advancement to the net unless you’re in your opponent’s zone.

30 second shot clock will be in effect. (Loss of possession after 30 seconds without a shot on net. Clock re-sets after each shot)

5 players on, 5 players off. No early exchange.

Bench will receive 1 warning, then will be given 2 minute Bench minor for illegal line change.

- Double Minor (written as 2 - 2minute minors)

Penalties will be served at time given. Team will play short-handed

Any player who accumulates 6+ minutes of penalties sits out the rest of the game. If it’s within the last 10 minutes of the game, then it will be at the disretion of the Referee-in-Chief if the player will sit the next game (This will be dependant if the penalty was intentional, the player is a repeat offender or if there was swearing or fighting).

Repeat offenders will be brought before the Disciplinary Board.

Suspensions

Misconduct = 1 Game

Must serve expulsions at the arena.

* If there is an ongoing problem/concern with a player/parent tell the Convenor. Executive will deal with it.

HOUSE LEAGUE PEEWEE, BANTAM AND MIDGET RULES

Play will be exchanged on the fly. (Trial basis)

30 second shot clock will be in effect. (Loss of possession after 30 seconds without a shot on net. Clock re-sets after each shot)

Coaches will be held accountable to adhere to the Fair Play - Equal floor time rule.

Clock stops at Penalties, Goals, Referee timeouts (T).

There will only be face-offs at the beginning of each period and after each goal or in the event there are off-setting penalties.

Goalies change ends each period.

Each team is allowed 1, 30 second timeout per game (stop clock).

Refs will blow whistle to end the timeout and restart the play.

If the game is within 2 Goals, the final 2 minutes of the game will be stopped time (stop both clocks at every whistle).

Top and bottom sheets need to be placed in folder in Equipment room after the referees sign.

Lincoln Crush House League Penalty Rules

Major Penalties requires the removal of the player for the full five minutes (other than the goalkeeper).

If the Major occurs with "less than 5 minutes" in the 3rd period, the player will sit the remainder of the game in the box, plus a game suspension.

Ten Minute Misconduct penalties require the removal of the player for ten minutes. If the ten minute misconduct occurs " with less than 10 minutes" in the 3rd, the player will sit the remainder of the game in the box, plus a game suspension. A goalkeeper will remain in for the rest of the game, but will serve a game suspension.

Any player/goalkeeper who is assessed 6 minutes or more in the same game shall be expelled from playing the balance of the game.

Second offense from the same player/goalkeeper who is assessed a 6 minutes or more in a game shall be expelled for the remainder of the game plus a game suspension.

Each repeated offense of this violation is an automatic game suspension.

Any player/goalkeeper who receives a match penalty shall be suspended until the appropriate governing body rules on the incident.

Any player/goalkeeper or non-playing bench personnel assessed a

Gross Misconduct shall be guilty under the Canadian Lacrosse Association Rule 48.
