This big image is a flow chart showing where Canada receives and burns its energy, as of 2003. I'm not sure where it came from: if you have a source, email me (see home page for address) and let me know so I can properly give credit. Interesting how much petroleum Canada imports considering it is a net-exporting country!
That "biomass and other" line looks impressively thick, until you realize that it's largely the pulp-and-paper industry burning black liquor and wood chips, not some super-advanced cellulosic ethanol industry that Canada's been hiding.
