Motion to the Congregation


The St. Andrew's Affordable Senior Citizen's Housing Committee will be bringing the following motions for discussion and approval by the Congregation.

Motion
# 1

Whereas certain near-term steps are required to enable final design of the St. Andrew's Senior Citizen's Affordable Housing project, it is moved that:

  1. The Congregation approves a land exchange of equal area between St. Andrew's United Church and St. Francis School of the Halton Catholic School Board in order to realign the Eastern boundary of St. Andrew's property in order to facilitate construction of the residential complex.

  2. The Congregation approves to obtain a release from Hydro One of the easement that parallel the existing property line between the Church and the school.

  3. The Congregation approves an application be submitted to the Town Of Halton Hills to re-zone a portion of St. Andrew's property from commercial to residential in order to support multi-unit residential usage.

Whereas it is moved that the Congregation of St. Andrew's United Church approve the development of a Senior Citizen's Housing complex on existing St. Andrew's United Church property and further that such development will not incur any cost to the Church or Congregation.
