Location & Population

Georgetown is a community within the Town of Halton Hills which is, in turn, part of the Regional Municipality of Halton. Georgetown is situated on Highway 7 and the Credit River about 28 Km from Toronto and 60 Km from Hamilton surrounded by the Niagara escarpment in an area occupying about 285 sq. km.

The Town of Halton Hills, encompassing Acton, Georgetown and the 401 Corridor, has an estimated 2001 population of 49,000 and is projected to grow annually at a rate of 2.4%. By 2021, population is estimated to grow to 70,000
