Cultural, Social and Entertainment

Numerous entertainment venues can be accommodated in a modern Cultural Centre featuring the John Elliott theatre (267-seat auditorium).

Continuous displays of exciting and interesting exhibits, many by local artists, are presented in the attached Gallery.

The Georgetown Little Theatre and Globe Productions provide entertainment and opportunities to showcase for local talent.

Proximity to the City of Toronto offers a wide range of theatre, cultural events, music and amazing attractions.

There are numerous fine dining and shopping facilities.

There are 33 parks in Georgetown and 8 in Acton, including the Alcott Skate Park, Willow Park Ecology Centre and the Lucy Maud Montgomery Garden.

There are 3 arenas in Halton Hills, a new Gellert Community Centre opening May 2004 incorporating a 25-metre swimming pool, play pool, hot tub and Community Hall; and a new Trafalgar Sports Park in process with 4 ball fields and 14 soccer fields.

The 830km Bruce Trail skirts Georgetown to the north-west, with side trails connecting with the community.

Five public golf courses are located nearby:
