Seeing a need for close, slow-moving ground support for planetside expendition forces, Toradoch Defense Systems has developed the Spyke: Amoured Defense Pod. Based on the EYOT platform of Toradoch's civilian divison in combination with emerging technologies, the Spyke offers supierior protection of advancing troops.

With it's heavily armoured exoshell and perimeter array of high-output deflector cones that can turn all but the heaviest particle and projectile bombarments in combination with the chin mounted 'spitball' depleted tritium cannon, troops are offered protection against attack from opposing ground forces or anti-personnel aerocraft.

The pilot controls the Spyke through an interactive voice command flight helmet, displaying information and images gathered from the dish sensors and camera mounted on the cannon. Along with vectoring thrusters, the Spyke defends the skies and road ahead leaving the troops to concentrate on their task.
