Under contract to the Terran Defense Force (TDF), Toradoch Defense has developed the suborbital defense fighter SDF Bodkin. Based on a suborbital platform or from an interspace carrier, the Bodkin offers a small, versatile craft capable of defending the vulnerable combat theatre of the high troposphere and gravity well orbits of planetary bodies.

Equipped with a modified aerograv generator behind the cockpit, the Bodkin can operate in the lesser gravities offered by a high orbit. Once outside the atmosphere the magnetic nacelle and magpulse engines create high-ouput thrust, capable of propelling the Bodkin up to 600kph. Small fore and aft-ventral thrusters give the craft a high degree of vectoring movement in next to null gravity environments.

The starboard weapons coupling is fitted with a standard plasma pulse cannon, but can be quickly interchanged with a variety of defense packages. The Bodkin hosts one pilot and can sustain life support for up to 36 hours of mission time.

The Bodkin is currently under exclusive contract to the TDF, but Toradoch has reserved the right for development of a variant for the A.C.E.R. department.
