Who are the Soroptimists and what do we do?

Local SOROPTIMISTS have started a new Club in Haldimand-Norfolk

Soroptimist is a volunteer service organisation for women
in business, management and the professions who contribute
time and financial support to community based projects benefiting women.
If you enjoy an atmosphere of support, friendship
and fun the joining Soroptimist may be right for you.

 

What is SOROPTIMIST?

No it is not Optimist.
Our name comes from Soror
and Optima the Best for Women.
Our slogan is: Best for Women.

 

Who are we?

We are not just another Service Club, but the largest international
organisation for women in management and the professions, working
together through service projects to advance the human rights and the
status of women. We are 100,000 members in 120 countries, with a
representation as a Non Governmental Organisation at the
United Nations, in Geneva, Vienna, Paris and New York.

 

What is in it for me?

Membership in a Soroptimist club is very fulfilling,
with benefits as diverse as the members themselves.
Soroptimist membership offers personal growth,
leadership skills and association with other respected
