Although in the past I have made custom knives, I am now fully devoted to woodworking. I am concentrating my efforts now on custom woodcarving and wood turning, scrimshaw, general and customized carving knives.

I have had many people ask me how to scrimshaw. I always try and give them a brief outline of what I do. I know that this does not answer all questions, and information given in this manner is easily forgotten. So I have assembled a web guide page called "A Beginner's Guide To Scrimshaw". I have tried to incorporate all the information that I think a person needs to start scrimming. Feel free to look the booklet over.  You may freely use the information contained in the guide and reprint it for general use.

Since I also make carving knives, I now have a web guide page on "Sharpening Your Carving Knives". This will give both the beginner and expert carver an overview on how to keep an edge on their carving knives.

I am finding that a lot of buttons on a page can be confusing and distracting. To counter this, I have made a map page of our website with the major areas of interest buttoned. Clicking on those will take you to the relevant webpages. I hope that this system will allow you to navigate our website with a lot more ease. Don't worry, each page has a default button to either the map page, the home page, or the last page viewed.
