"Awaken the Dragon" was the second full length album by PAZUZU.
Released on Dark Matter Records and recorded at the Sing Sang Studios,
the production and sound of this album was overwhelming. Musically, the
style had become much more evolved. The tunes were more epic and bombastic,
at times resembling a movie soundtrack. The influences ranged from medieval/renaissance,
over classical to oriental and even native american. Lyrically, "Awaken
the Dragon" again deals with renewal and change. We didn't, however, follow
a stringent concept and let the music guide the lyrics. Im Mondschein was
lyrically taken from Georg Trakl, an Austrian turn of the century poet.
