VINTAGE MAP, CHARTS, BLUEPRINTS, MEASURE READER Device MADE IN GERMANY FOR AMERICAN MAP CO. Measures approx 3" Long , Some Usage Wear, but unit is fully functional. Plastic Covers over the dials, one is loose and slips off..but could be fastened on.

One face marked: American Map Co. Has TWO Scales: Inches to Miles to Verstes & Centimeters to Kilometers. This side is for use with all other charts or maps. Set the wheel at zero. Run the wheel along the distance to be measured. Multiply the result on the dial by the scale of miles on the map. The centimeter scale is for use maps of European or Latin American Origin.

Other face marked: Germany, MILES with three Scales... 1:62500, 1:31680, 1:24000 This side is for use with the three U.S.G.S. scales of 1:62,500, 1:31,680, 1:24000 Set the little wheel at zero. Run the wheel along the distance to be measured and read the result directly from the dial.
