Welcome to our 2009 Christmas Page!

With another year drawing to a close it jogs our minds to slow down and take time to reflect on the year 2009 and be in contact with friends and family, near or far away, who we love and care about.   This has been a year filled with nice challenges and making many new friends.  So, thank you for dropping by our Christmas page and we hope you will take away a bit of love and joy from us!

Starting 2009 in Florida helped us be warm and have the feeling of being fairly fit with lots of biking and walking the beach.  Upon returning home we drained our pent up energy by doing a fair amount of home renovating and purging of STUFF we felt we no longer needed to cherish.   By mid summer we were pooped and ready to enjoy the fruits of our labour.

Not having a cottage to hid away at now we decided to become more involved in our area Senior Recreation Centre and that has brought us lots to do and many new and old friends to be acquainted with.  Still being passionate about computers and sharing in that area has been rewarding for me.  Woodworking and making “The Hawkins Woolcombs” is keeping the better half of this partnership well known in Ontario and out of province.

We have broken down and bought a new vehicle so we will enjoy our trip south and we'll be there for Christmas and three months in the warmth.  We are hoping our 17 year old Hymalayan cat will survive the trip once again. this year.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with good health, love and all the things you desire!

A candle lit for those we love and miss so much at this time of the year.

And a prayer for world peace.
