The Unofficial ETR Site
(Essex Terminal Railway)

The Essex Terminal Railway's home is in Windsor Ontario, and runs approximately 20 miles south to the town of Amherstburg.

The ETR interchanges with CN at Van De Water Yard via the CP at Dougall Ave.  Interchanging with CSX,CR and NS are done through the CN. An interchange connection with the CN Chatham subdivision (at George Ave east of the VIA station) is no longer in service.

The CP interchange is a small 3-track yard parallel to and on the west side of the CP Windsor yard.

General Chemical (Amherstburg) : several ALCO S-series MAY still be on site
    However all are shutdown (may even be gone).     Honeywell plant ensite uses an ETR switcher and takes cars to Ojibway Yard.

: 2 ex-ETR Alcos (see above)
ALCO AKMD 317 (obtained in 2006)
ADM (west Windsor)   : 1 2-axle Plymouth (in service)
      (GP10 is long gone)
