Windsor and Essex County Railroading

Windsor and Essex County is home to two national railroads, one 'shortline',
a national passenger service, as well as a few American guests.

ETR
Runs from East Windsor to Amherstburg. Click here for the Unofficial ETR site.

CP RAIL
Enters Windsor from the east.  It has a large yard on the near-west side and runs the majority of its traffic through the Detroit-Windsor railway tunnel.

CN RAIL
Has two lines into Windsor.  The Chatham sub hugs the Lake St. Clair shoreline, and the CASO sub comes up from the southeast (via Essex).

VIA RAIL CANADA
8 trains a day over the CN Chatham sub (part owned by VIA) from Walkerville (east Windsor) to Toronto via London.
