The Pazmany PL-2 was designed by Ladislao Pazmany in the mid '70's and is a continuation of his successful PL-1 design. Many design hours has resulted a very rugged yet light aircraft. Often called the "Cadillac of Homebuilts" because of its engineering excellence, the Pazmany flight characteristics are suitable for all pilots. Check the following link for a comparison of the PL-1 and PL-2 and their flight characteristics.

This Pazmany has an intial climb rate of 1500 f.p.m. and a cruise speed of 165 m.p.h at 75% power thanks to the 160 h.p. engine.

One variation of the PL series was the PL-1B built in Southeast Asia and used as a primary trainer for the Taiwanese, Indonesian and Korean Air Forces.
