| About the list The list was first started in late 1996 as a forum in which discussion of the life and music of Liz Phair and related topics could take place. The list was originally named 6'1" and I ran it manually until September 1998, when smoe.org graciously allowed me to move it to their server. At that time, the list was renamed Support System. The list started with a small group of subscribers, but the number of members has steadily grown since its inception. There are currently over 600 subscribers.
The second option is to receive the posts in a digest format. With this version of the list, you will receive a single e-mail message once a day (or greater, depending on list traffic) which compiles all of the posts that have been sent to the list. To subscribe to the digest option, send an e-mail to majordomo@smoe.org with "subscribe support-system-digest" in the body of the message.
After sending your request, you will receive a confirmation e-mail you must reply to in order to activate your list membership.
If you'd ever like to unsubscribe from the list, send an e-mail to majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe support-system" or "unsubscribe support-system-digest" in the body of the message, depending on which format of the list you receive.
The digests from the earlier incarnation of the list have not been archived on the web.
