University of Waterloo Bachelor of Science Degree. I started working on a Pre-optometry (pre-med) degree and switched to Microbiology in my third year. During a particularly complicated graduate level statistics course I began to use computers on a day to day basis. I quickly realized I had a much better aptitude to computers than I did bacteria, graduated with my degree, and moved on.
Seaforth District High School HSSGD In 1975 we had the option of taking a four year high school curriculum, or five year, so in 1980 I graduated out of high school with a grade 13 diploma and a few scholarships under my arm.
Post
Graduate Continuing Education After graduation I continued on with numerous systems-related courses or seminars. I took a Kepner-Tregoe problem solving course which honed my ability to diagnose many different types of situations and quickly and efficiently come forth with a solution. I added to my scientific knowledge with an Applied Health Microbiology food course and added to my business knowledge with an MRP/ERP program. I used those skills to build an enterprise resource planning system for Canada Packers, and with courses from Computer Associates ACCPAC tied the production and financial systems together. As well as taking courses, I have also developed continuing education courses for numerous colleges and diploma level courses.
