Escape and Evade 

 

Operation Escape & Evade

 

Date:            Tuesday, November 4th, 2003

 

Time: Start at 7PM Sharp until 9:15pm

Where:

Start: the parking lot of the Oakville Center for the Performance Arts and Centennial Pool, on Water Street (under the Rebecca Street bridge), off Navy Street.

End: St. Paul’s United Church, 454 Rebecca Street (Between Dorval and Fourth Line).

 What to bring:

Each Troop is responsible to have their Scouts fill in a permission form, a copy of this must be shown to the E&E registrar at the Start location!

Compass

Ziplock bags to keep the patrol map and other papers that we provide dry

Flashlight(s)

Dress for the weather with your group necker on the outside

reflective arms bands or tape recommended

Pen or pencil

KNIVES ARE NOT PERMITTED.

 Patrol size:

 6-8 Scouts, leaders should try to balance patrols so they are even,

     i.e. do not put all the oldest Scouts in one patrol!

 Scoring and Trophy:

The scoring will be similar to other years, Patrols will gain points for speed, making all the checkpoints, and locating the “mysterious stranger(s)” and answering the bonus questions. This will be scored on a computer with the results being announced shortly after 9PM.

 The winning Patrol will have their names added to the trophy.

 This year’s E & E is being sponsored by 7th Trafalgar Scouts.
