Some
years ago my mother found out that she had lung cancer and yes she was
a smoker since the age of 11 or 12. She had part of her one lung removed
which stopped her cancer growth, but in various xrays some small spots
always were visable on several bones in her lower back. They never grew
and never moved. I told my mother that if she ever got cancer back that
I would take part in the Cops for Cancer events in order to help raise
money for cancer research. Then about five years into her cancer check ups, the spots began to grow and move. In 2007, she had bone cancer. In February 2007, my mom passed away with bone cancer. I kept my promise to her and, in the spring of 2007, I attended my first Cops for Cancer event........ This site is dedicated to my mom and others that have this horrible thing they call cancer. |
