Heel: Starting with your left foot, tell the dog the "heel", step out with the left foot. The dogs shoulders should be in-line with your knees....
Recall (come): With your dog in heel position, take your left hand and move it counter-clockwise in front of your dogs face telling them to stay. Walk a distance away from your dog and turn to face them. Tell them to come... the dog should begin moving toward you at a fair pace and sit in front of you their toes to your toes.
Sheena** This could be very informative... I think the most commom mistake I see in the classroom is people not beginning the "heel" footwork with their left foot, and likewise leaving their dog incorrectly. This could be a fun page where we explain in a paragraph or less just what exactly "HEEL" means. Where the dog should be, how you begin, ect.
