This is a result of a brutally cold winter. The mast, that this furling system was attached to, was lying on 2 horses. The furling system was allowed to sag between the horses and water had accumulated at the low point. Because of the thawing and refreezing we had this year, the ice inside ruptured the foil. Always remember when storing your mast for the winter to take a little extra time and lash the furling system to the mast and keep it as level as possible.
