Hi-as you probably know I had an idea to make a "cafe" quilt - well the response was overhwelming!! Many cafe people sent in squares and a beautiful quilt was made,listed, and sold for $1400US ($2132CAN) .The proceeds went to the Canadian Diabetes Association to help fund their camp for children with diabetes. I have been asked if there will be another quilt -the answer is YES!!!! I am willing to put it together if you are willing to send me the squares .
Please send me a 6.5" x 6.5" scrap of material - any colour -any type - on which you have embroidered your cafe name and state or country or you can just sign it but please use a fabric pen. OR you can send a scrap from a souvenir tea towel/hankie/scarf of your country/state/province or city/town - it's entirely up to you.
But please limit the design
size to 6in by 6 in and the total square size to 6.5 inches by 6.5 inches.
This time I think it is fair to donate the money to a US charity - the American Diabetes/Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. I would like us to make as many quilts as there are countries represented and each year donate the money to a children's charity in each country in turn!!!
