Buster: 1990-2000

Flee-Bert: 1990-2004

Buster and Flee-bert were best buddies. They played very rough but always slept together.  The house was never quite with them around!

Paula and I laughed all the time when these two were in play mode.

Flee-bert was adopted from an old farm. He was very young so we had to feed him baby formula for several weeks. He was the most affectionate cat I have ever met.

He was also my #1  napping buddy. Whenever my feet left the floor for a nap, he would come out of nowhere and rest on my chest.

Paula said he had this 6th sense because he could always tell, and find me whenever I was napping!

Buster was our first baby (all puppies are one).  We got him from the pound when he was a puppy right after we got married and bought a house.  He was so scared that he poo'd in my car on the way home from the pound.  It took us several days to get him use to his new home.

This picture is of Sara and Buster! (I do not remember when I took this shot but I believe Buster to be 6 and Sara to be 1)

Buster watched us bring home two baby boys, and grew up with them. He was very protective and when they cried he would whine.

He was my unofficial baby sitter and also very cheap. He charged only doggie bones for his time!

My best memory is when Paula taught him "Muddy Paws":

If Buster was outside in wet weather, as soon as he got to the door Paula would say "Muddy paws" and he would stay at the back door until his paws dried.

Buster helped train Sara this trick, who in turn taught Hunter and who is now teaching Trinity (who is a bit of a rebel).

In a way buster is still with us!

He was also the # 1 spaghetti tester:

When Paula was cooking spaghetti he would stand by her side and Buster and Paula would be able to tell when the spaghetti noodles were done by how he slurped them down (cooled off of course!)

We miss you Flee-bert and Buster!!

Everyday I look at your pictures and see your food dish on the Mantle  and think of you two guys.
