Size - 50 to 80 mm.
On the wing - May to September.
Range - B.C. to Nova Scotia.
Host plants - Willow and Poplar.
Favourite habitat - Damp areas where Willows and Poplars are found.
Special notes - No this isn't a Monarch but this butterfly successfully uses mimicry to improve it's protection from predators (see mimicry).
