Size - 20 to 30 mm.

On the wing - Early June to mid July.

Range - B. C. to Cape Breton.

Host plants - Grasses.

Favourite habitat - Damp areas from forests to meadows.

Special notes - Typically single brooded this far north. Recently this butterfly has been observed having two broods in one season here in Ontario. Could climactic changes be the contributing factor?
