Northern Cloudywing

Size - 30 to 40 mm.

On the wing - May through June.

Range - B.C. to the Maritimes.

Host plants - Hog Peanut.

Favourite habitat - Woodlands.

Special notes - This interesting butterfly overwinters, in it's food plant leaf nest, in it's larva stage. The adult butterfly nectars on flowers.
