Size - 20 to 25 mm.

On the wing - Mid May until mid June

Range - A small area of southern Ontario primarily southern Hastings county, Prince Edward county and Lennox & Addington counties.

Host plants - Eastern Red Cedar.

Favourite habitat - Dry open areas that support it's host.

Special notes - This butterfly has a limited Canadian range and is one of only two species of butterflies, in Canada, that feed on evergreens. Larvae feed on the Red Juniper AKA - Eastern Red Cedar.
