Grey Hairstreak

Size - 20 to 30 mm.

On the wing - April to the end of September.

Range -  Scattered along the lower latitudes of B.C. to Nova Scotia.

Host plants - Sweetfern.

Favourite habitat - Open areas and woodlands.

Special notes - The Grey Hairstreak was recorded in the park for the first time during the 1999 count. I saw 4 more during the weeks that followed.
