Range - Manitoba to Cape Breton.
Host plants - Broadleaf sedges.
Favourite habitat - Damp meadows.
Special notes - These butterflies are easy to observe. Slow flying and landing frequently the can be seen in generous numbers in Presqu'ile's damp meadows. They hibernate as larvae.
