Size - 25 to 30 mm.

On the wing - Mid July until mid August.

Range - Southern limits of Ontario, scattered throughout the prairies and central and eastern US.

Host plants - Various grasses.

Favourite habitat - Open areas.

Special notes - Uncommon in Canada.
