Size - 40 to 60 mm.
On the wing - Mid April until October.
Range - Scattered from Saskatchewan to Labrador but primarily southern Ontario and Quebec.
Host plants - Stinging Nettles, Wood Nettles and Hops (hence their other name "Hop Merchant").
Favourite habitat - Open areas and damp woodlands.
Special notes - Adults feed on sap.
