Size - 25 to 40 mm.
On the wing - June to mid September.
Range - West of the Rocky Mountains to Quebec and the east coast in the US.
Host plants - The larvae feed on Curled Dock, Water Dock and knotweed.
Favourite habitat - It likes wet areas such as meadows and marshlands where it can find flowers to feed on.
