Size - 60 to 90 mm.

On the wing - Mid May until the end of August.

Range - Southern areas of Manitoba through to the Maritimesand the eastern US.

Host plants - Queen Anne's Lace as well farmed crops such as carrot and celery.

Favourite habitat - Adult like to visit flowers in home gardens as well as abandoned farm land where they can find their preferred food plants.

Special notes - Overwintering pupae emerge in mid May. Then the next brood in mid summer until the end of August.
