in celebration of La Monte Young’s 49th birthday.

 

The name is from Angus MacLise’s calendar poem “Year”.

 

Apparently the complete recorded version of this piece is 28 minutes in length

and was played in 3 sections or “sets”.

This is Set 1...the other two sections are reportedly without

Angus MacLise’s hand percussion.
