Community Project - The Legion Garden

In the Fall of 2009, the Stoney Creek Garden Club began a project to beautify the Royal Canadian Legion Hall's garden at 12 King St. East, Stoney Creek. Many members took the time to come out and clear, dig, plant, water, weed and cultivate and feed this garden over the hot and humid summer months of 2010.

The Ontario Horticultural Association provides a number of grants each year, up to $500, for local Societies to create Community Plantings. We applied and were awarded a grant for the Legion Garden.
