I am an artist, a painter, and one in a chain of artists that run in my Polish family through generations. I have had an urge to create since I was a child.  My lifelong creative path has led me to seek many ways of expressing myself; whether it is through drawing or painting, designing and making silver jewellery, ceramics or writing poetry.

Whatever style I use; realistic or abstract, my desire is to capture the essence of the object or scenery whether it is line or atmosphere.  Texture and colour are important elements in my work and nature serves as my inspiration.  Nature is full of color and texture, from rough tree trunks, rocks and soil to the smooth clear sky and flower petals.  Light and shadow, and endless shades of colour are all found in nature.  In my art, as I perceive it, colour and texture are the equivalent of feelings, a materialization of my thoughts and opinions of the world.  My mind processes sensations and transforms them into artwork, making it a mirror image of my conscience and intuition.

My objective as an artist is to release emotions and concerns derived from my personal experience and the world that surrounds me, and consequently to communicate these feelings and ideas with the viewer. I want my creation to serve as a bridge between me and those looking at my work.

I am a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design (Toronto, Canada) with a Bachelor in Fine Arts-Drawing and Painting. I am an elected member of the Ontario Society of Artists since 1998. My paintings have been exhibited both in Canada and abroad; in Toronto, Japan and Poland.

I currently live and work in Toronto, Canada.
