Boating:

"Believe me, my young friend, there is NOTHING - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." (Water Rat - from; The Wind in The Willows by Kenneth Grahame 1908) One place to mess about in boats is in the Hamilton Bay at the westernmost end of Lake Ontario.

Biography:

Machinist by trade, teacher by profession, originally from Britain but now resident in Canada as a citizen.

Having undertaken my apprenticeship in the United Kingdom, most of my working career has been in industry.  However, in 1988 I took a few years off to do an archaeology degree at the University of Leicester. After the completion of my degree I emigrated to Canada.  Here I did a second B.A. at the University of Waterloo, a B.Ed. at Brock University Ontario and a M.A at Sheffield Hallam University. UK.  I currently teach adult literacy within the Hamilton Literacy Council. However, my full time employment is currently in industry.
