For the second time in four years, the 15th Burlington Scouting Group took part in a multi-section weeklong extended camp to Algonquin Provincial Park, a famous nature reserve located in Central Ontario.  From our base at the Whitefish Bay Group Camping Area, 9 Cubs, 5 Scouts, 3 Venturers, 1 Rover, a Pathfinder, 4 Leaders, and 3 Volunteers, set out on a weeklong exploration of the park, its natural features, and its rich history.   For the Cubs, the camp included 2 hikes, swimming, basic canoe training, visits to the logging museum and visitor centre, and a night at the outdoor theatre.  The Scouts took part in an overnight interior trip with the Venturers, as well as a hike on the Booth's Rock Trail.  While the Scouts and 3rd year Cubs hiked part of the Centennial Ridges Trail, the Venturers checked out one of the Park's new Mountain Bike Trails.  And of course, Courtney broke the chips! All in all, it was a fantastic week and the highlight of the Scouting Year!  Here are just a few memories of the week that was...........
