One of 15th Burlington's neighbouring groups for years was the 23rd Burlington Group, based out of the former Pineland Presbyterian Church on New Street. Church parades at Pineland were often joint ventures with 15th. When 23rd's Troop folded in 1979, many of the remaining Scouts wound up joining up with 15th Burlington. 23rd Burlington continued on into the 1990's, eventually closing up - with many of its members being absorbed into 10th Burlington (now part of 15th as well). Recently, some new pictures have been found showcasing the 23rd Burlington Cubs and Scouts during the late 1970's.... Photos from the collection of Ed Kowalchyk, former 23rd Burlington Scout Leader; Necker Sample from the Burlington Area Archives.
