Perhaps an alteration of jynx wryneck: from the use of wrynecks in witchcraft (1911)
a) one that brings bad luck
b) the state or spell of bad luck brought on by a jinx
a) to be of ill omen
c) curse or hex
d) a word concocted from Jenkins used to describe...well me! Now I'm not really an evil omen, although some
would argue that point; I have been cursed at, and I have seen a jynx wryneck (it's another name for a woodpecker for
those that don't know); and I have written computer programs in HEX. But other than that, I'm a safe guy to hang around.
JYNX was choosen because I didn't like people shortening my name for a nickname...so JYNX was born.
