Me with *NIX CHange OWNer Sign

First off let me state that I am a geek of highest level. I spend most of my days programming and actually enjoying it! Then I go home and play on the computer a little more. This geekiness was started way back by my step-father Allan when we got our first computer a Texas Instruments TI-99er. I was a little young to code at the time, but I played games and actually still have the machine around.

My geek level was further increased by the University of Waterloo Mathematics Department. Here I started in Computer Science and finished with a General Mathematics degree. I get a fancy BMath after my name! Which is only available in two places in the WORLD, UW and University of Moscow. At U(W) (read "U of W" as in a math equation) I started programming and working with webpages. As well as doing a LOT of math. As volunteering happens to be in my nature I became involved in the University of Waterloo Math Student Society or MathSOC. This is a group of Math students who volunteered in order to make a student's life easier. I have made friends who will last a lifetime and met Professors and Deans who I wouldn't have the oportunity to know otherwise. It was a great experience, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I participated as a leader for Orientation from 1996 to 1998. Then I was Tie Guard from 1999 to 2000. Yes that's right, after graduation I took a week off work to come back and do Tie Guard. Upon graduation I was honoured as a Life Time Member of MathSOC, which allows me to participate in most events, even Orientation (Frosh week).

Once out of U(W) I went to work with Rogers Communications Incorporated. Now before you jump down my throat I cannot help you with your cable or cell phone bills. I work in the Information Technology body that supports all the factions of the company; Wireless, Cable, Media, everyone. At Rogers I'm a SysAdmin for our Service Management tracking system.
