Our Minister

Rev. Mark Ferrier has served on the Mount Forest Pastoral Charge since November, 2004. Ordained by Manitou  Conference of the United Church of Canada in May, 1988, he has served 3 previous pastorates in Manitoba, Northern Ontario, and most recently in the Ottawa Valley. 

Easygoing and approachable, Rev. Mark  is active in ministry with folks of all ages, from children, youth to our seniors in the churches and in the nursing homes in Mount Forest and surrounding area. He takes an active role in Bruce Presbytery.  

"I have appreciated the generosity and dedication of the people of our 2 congregations and communities to our 
churches. It is wonderful to see the infants baptized the previous Sunday in worship regularly with their parents, and other young folk, as well as their parents and our elders who have given so much to our church.

As minister, it has been my task to work with all these and others, to try to deepen our common faith in Jesus Christ, and work and witness together in ways that faithful serve Him. Through worship, education and pastoral care, I have come to know and value the gifts of the people here. It is a good place to be.
