Host of one of the best open mic stages in Ontario for over 10 years, and long time member of SOCAN, Julie has two self written studio albums to her credit and many more projects in the works. Julie Ross Live

Julie opens with an enthusiastic set every Tuesday night, Open Mic @ the Nest in Chatham at a little pub called the Elephant's Nest downtown. She opens up the stage for the evening at 10:00pm for any talents who wish to hone their skills or try new material. She will accompany if needed on vocals, guitar or percussion,while other contenders drink their liquid courage. Currently, you can also catch Julie singing with the fabulous Bluetonium blues band, performing some great Motown renditions alongside Sarah Hiltz and daughter Linz, as well as other events and gatherings in the community. Performing hundreds of favourites from Tragically Hip to Heart, Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLachlan and Led Zeppelin, and everything in between.

Hosting our favourite open mic venue for more than 20 years! Originally at Beatniks, the evening continues to be the place to go on a Tuesday! Drop by the Elephant's Nest Pub & Grub, King St. Chatham for a mix of covers and originals from some of the best up and coming and seasoned musicians from south western Ontario.

Open Mic is supplied with three community guitars, bongos, three vocal mics, and a box of highly suspicious noise makers. Come and sign up for a spot-3 songs or 15 minutes, show off your talents!

Simply the best CD put out this year from our local scene. Julie is best known for hosting Open Mic Tuesday nights at the Elephants Nest which is swarming with local talent waiting to perform with her. The CD plays into this theme as several musicians from town appear on the tracks recorded at Franks Music Centre, downtown, Chatham. Julie is well known as an acoustic performer but this album of originals shows her ability to play in a band also.
Thirteen songs fill the disk with an easy listening, pop, acoustic rock, feel good album!
