About Us
I decided to open a salon/spa for these pets to try to remove the trauma these animals
were under. We operate in our home, stocked with only the best products and equipment
and no cages! I only groom 2-3 dogs a day and only spend time with only one dog. I feel
this eliminates a lot of anxiety for the pet and myself and creates a wonderful bonding
experience. The pet is dropped off and picked up after they are styled, usually 1 ½ - 2
hours.
I use aromatherapy, natural ingredients for flea and tick control. Veterinarian grade
shampoos for certain skin conditions are also available. There is a large selection of
shampoos and conditioners for all coats and skin conditions. A clipper-vac system is used
to collect the hair, dander, pollen, etc leaving the air clean for both pet and myself. Hand
scissoring is also used to properly balance the dog's appearance. I will not shave a dog
down due to excessive matting. There are products and techniques now available to
eliminate this. Ears, teeth and nails of course are always done. Each pet is thoroughly
examined during the bath and any unusual conditions are reported immediately to the
owner so treatment can be sought quickly.
My pricing is very competitive because the products, equipment and techniques I use
reduce the time required to properly style the pet.
Each year I travel to Pennsylvania to the Animal Behaviour Conference and Groom Expo
where I update my techniques at seminars and purchase my quality equipment and
products.
We also have home raised purebred Salt & Pepper Miniature Schnauzers. Our fully
socialized and placed only with owners who have fully researched the breed, spent time
with me and the puppies and have shown to be responsible to raise them as there own. Our
puppies are born in an environment of many sounds and are handled from birth. They and
the parents are given only the best holistic and natural food. Our salon must be clean and
disinfected each time we have visitors because I cannot afford to bring in any diseases our
home when we do have or are expecting new babies. I have done a lot of research on
nutrition, breeding and genetics to provide an excellent start to the puppy's life. I have
also talked and consulted with Dr. Robert Hutchinson DVM of Animal Clinic Northview,
Ohio, a leading canine reproduction and genetic expert.
Finally my goal is to educate my clients on proper care of their pets and to build a great
relationship through positive training. If you know of any customers looking for a special
day at the spa or in need of training or behaviour issues for their pet.
